Montenegrin police finalized training curricula modules for Special Forces with expert support by Council of Europe consultants on 14 October. The modules cover inter alia subjects such as communication/conflict management skills, public order and gatherings and management of crowds. The modules will become an integral part of the police training program on human rights respect through prevention of ill-treatment, developed under the first phase of the Horizontal Facility.
Following the adoption by the Police Administration, this program will serve as the basis for the provision of in-service training. The Action will also organize training of trainers sessions for staff of the Special Forces who will in the future continue to disseminate the knowledge to their colleagues, through cascade trainings.
The training curricula were develop through the Action “Further enhancing human rights protection for detained and sentenced persons in Montenegro”, part of the joint European Union and Council of Europe programme „Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey II 2019 - 2022“, implemented by the Council of Europe.
