“Hate is weakness” video campaign

Description: In November 2016, the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights of “The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia” released a public video campaign against hate speech under the slogan “Hate is weakness”. The campaign was composed of public people, including journalists, politicians, faculty professors, activists and other public figures, who all gave their opinion on hate speech and the necessity for fighting against it. Its purpose was to raise awareness among the citizens about the effects of hate speech on individuals and on society as a whole. More importantly, the campaign was intended to put pressure on the public prosecution and the courts to act on cases of corruption, given the poor practice that exists so far.
