This mission focuses on identifying good practices in migrant integration and exploring the complementary roles of public institutions and civil society.

The observations, testimonies and good practices gathered during this mission will be used to:

• Draw up an official recommendation for adoption by the Conference of INGOs;
• Contribute to the reflections of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities and the Commissioner for Human Rights;
• Strengthen NGO lobbying of European and national institutions;
• The good practices will be shared with public institutions and civil society in other countries facing migration related problems.

In a context where migration policies are constantly evolving, this mission represents an essential step in the work of the Committee on Migration Issues, to provide expertise based on realities on the ground and to defend effective access to fundamental rights for all people in migration situations.
