NGOs working in support of particular causes or groups, such as migrants and the LGBTI community, face increasing difficulties in carrying out their work. In light of this, the Expert Council on NGO Law is carrying out a study to develop a comprehensive picture of the challenges faced by NGOs because of their work in support of particular groups or aims. The study will cover all Council of Europe States (and Belarus, Russia and Kosovo*).
The Expert Council is therefore inviting NGOs and informal movements and groups to share their experiences by completing a short questionnaire by 31 October 2023. Further information and instructions are in the attached questionnaire.
The results of the questionnaire will be utilised in a report highlighting the extent and nature of the challenges that NGOs working in particular fields face, making recommendations for change.
