Some Eurimages-supported co-productions will be screened during the upcoming edition of the Venice Film Festival (28/08-07/09/2019) which opens today with The Truth by Kore-eda Hirokazu:
- About Endlessness (SE, DE, NO) by Roy Andersson in the official competition
- Pelican Blood (DE, BG) by Katrin Gebbe and Sole (IT, PL) by Carlo Sironi in the Orizzonti section; the film Blanco en Blanco by Théo Court, selected in this competition, received the Eurimages Lab-Project Award;
- Seules les bêtes (FR, DE) by Dominik Moll will open the Venice Days section which also includes Cold Case Hammarskjöld by Mads Brugger and God exists, her name is Petrunya by Teona Strugar Mitevska as part of the three finalists of the LUX Prize.
Finally, the Eurimages-supported co-production Another Day in Baghdad (Iraq, France, Germany, UK, Kuwait) by Maysoon Pachachi has been selected to participate in the “Final Cut in Venice 2019” programme.
