Eurimages is pleased to announce that Maren Ade, Jonas Dornbach and Janine Jackowski, co-founders and leading figures of the German company Komplizen Film, are the recipients of the 2026 Eurimages International Co-Production Award. The award will be presented during the 38th European Film Awards ceremony, to be held on 17 January 2026 in Berlin.
Recognised for their exemplary commitment to the co-production and the international circulation of cinematographic works, the trio has established itself as a driving force in contemporary auteur cinema. Komplizen Film has been behind an impressive number of projects suppported by Eurimages, including The Whistlers by Corneliu Porumboiu, The Story of My Wife by Ildikó Enyedi, About Dry Grasses by Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Corsage by Marie Kreutzer, and more recently Sentimental Value by Joachim Trier and Yes by Nadav Lapid.
Founded in 1999, the Berlin-based company has grown around a bold creative vision, nurturing films that are acclaimed worldwide – among them Toni Erdmann by Maren Ade, a true phenomenon of European cinema that was also supported by the Eurimages Fund.
The three producers will be among the guests of honour at the European Film Awards gala, where they will receive their award in person.
