Luís Urbano!

The EURIMAGES Co-Production Award presented within the framework of the online European Film Awards 2020 on Thursday 10 December went to the Portuguese producer Luís Urbano whose company O Som e a Fúria in Lisbon was supported by Eurimages as delegate producer of ARABIAN NIGHTS, VOLUMES 1 TO 3 and more recently SAVAGERY by Miguel Gomes, ELDORADO XXI by Salomé Lamas as well as PATRICK by Gonçalo Waddington (see the press-release). Eurimages’ President Catherine Trautmann and Executive Director Roberto Olla who both took part in this event paid tribute to the films produced by Luís Urbano whose brave choices and risk-taking have today led to the awarding of this prestigious prize. During the Grand Finale of the EFAs 2020 which took place on Saturday 12 December from the Futurium in Berlin, the Eurimages-supported co-production ANOTHER ROUND (DK, NL, SE) by Thomas Vinterberg received the Best European Film, Director, Screenwriter (with Tobias Lindholm) and Actor (Mads Mikkelsen) 2020 Awards while SOLE (IT, PL) by Carlo Sironi was awarded the European Discovery 2020 - Prix FIPRESCI and Dasha Dauenhauer received the Best European Original Score Award for the Eurimages-supported co-production BERLIN ALEXANDERPLATZ (DE, NL) by Burhan Qurbani.
