43rd plenary meeting of the Committee of Convention 108

The 43rd Plenary session of the Committee of Convention 108 has started on Wednesday 16 November 2022 in Strasbourg.

This very much awaited in-person meeting, after three years of online/hybrid meetings, gathers about 80 participants from all regions of the world over three days to work and exchange views on various topical issues of data protection, and contribute to the development of common policies.

Among the topics to be discussed during this session, there will be: digital identity, inter-state exchanges of data for anti-money laundering/countering financing of terrorism, interpretation of article 11 of Convention 108+, model contractual clauses in the context of transborder data flows. The Committee will also elect its new Chair, 1st and 2nd vice-Chairs as well as its Bureau members. The winners of the Stefano Rodotá Award 2022 will present their work and receive their prize.
