61st meeting of the Bureau of the Consultative Committee of Convention 108

The Bureau of the Committee of Convention 108 held its 61st meeting from 13 to 15 March 2024 in Paris. It reviewed the draft of the 3rd module of the Model Contractual Clauses for the transfer of personal data focusing on the transfer from processors to processors and draft Guidelines on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data for the purposes of voter registration and authentication. These documents are proposed to be finalised and adopted at the next T-PD plenary meeting (5-7 June 2024). The Bureau also received a presentation by the experts on the data protection in the context of neurosciences with a view to further discuss the topic at the next Plenary meeting in June 2024 based on a scientific report.

The Bureau welcomed the finalisation of the text of the Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence, Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law within the Committee on Artificial Intelligence (CAI)  and congratulated the negotiating parties for the outcome.
