At their meeting on 27 September, the Ministers' Deputies adopted the following texts:

• Guidelines for civil participation in political decision making (more information …);
• a recommendation to member States on Big Data for culture, literacy and democracy;
• a recommendation to member States on gender equality in the audiovisual sector.

The Committee also adopted:

• a declaration on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe (1987-2017);
• a recommendation to member States on the European Landscape Convention’s contribution to the exercise of human rights and democracy with a view to sustainable development;
• a resolution on the Landscape Award Alliance of the Council of Europe.

The Deputies conferred the 2016-2017 Landscape Award of the European Landscape Convention on Daugavpils City Council (Latvia) for its project “Regeneration of Daugavpils Fortress to Preserve Cultural and Historical Objects”. They also conferred special mentions on achievements in Belgium, Italy, Norway and the Slovak Republic, while recognising the great value of all the projects presented for the 5th Session of the Award.

Finally, the Deputies held an exchange of views with Ms Feride Acar, President of the Group of Experts on Action against Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (GREVIO) on the group's work to evaluate legislative and other measures taken by the Parties to give effects to the provisions of the Convention on Violence against Women and Domestic Violence.
