The CEPEJ organised a visit to Serbia on 19 and 20 November 2024, as part of the ‘Dashboard Western Balkans’ action.
The results of the 2023 national data collection carried out as part of the CEPEJ's evaluation of judicial systems were presented to the representatives of the various national institutions concerned in order to discuss the difficulties encountered during the data collection process and the application of the CEPEJ's methodology for evaluating judicial systems. The aim of these discussions was to improve the quality of the data collected, but also to improve the availability of missing data within the time limits set by the data collection. Finally, the use of data at national level was also discussed.
The event brought together representatives from the Supreme Court, the Judicial Council, the Supreme Council of Public Prosecutors, the Judicial Academy, the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and the Ministry of Justice.
Visits to the Basic Court and the High Court of Belgrade were also organised to observe the implementation and operation of the new Case Management System (CMS).
This action is financed by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe as part of Horizontal Facility III.
