On 14 April 2025, a working group meeting, composed of the representatives of the School of Magistrates, serving judges, prosecutors and CEPEJ experts, was held at the School of Magistrates in Tirana to discuss the development of IT skills training for magistrates. CEPEJ experts, in collaboration with the Albanian judges and prosecutors, presented a the structure of the course and different training modules concerning the digital proficiency in the judiciary. These modules are also aligned with the ongoing efforts for the development of the new Case Management Information System (CMIS) to prepare the magistrates for its use.
The CEPEJ as well organised on 16 and 17 April 2025 the meetings in Tirana and Durres to support the future implementation of a new round of court user satisfaction surveys in Albania. The representatives from the Department of Judicial Organisation, IT and statistics departments of the High Judicial Council, the School of Magistrates, and the District Courts of Tirana and Durres held discussions on how best to adapt CEPEJ’s survey methodology to the Albanian context.
The activity is co-organised by the action Strengthening the Quality and Efficiency of Justice in Albania (SEJ IV) and the Dashboard Western Balkans in the framework of the European Union/Council of Europe joint programme Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Türkiye (Horizontal Facility III), co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
