On 27 October 2021, the CEPEJ will organise jointly with the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Kingdom of Morocco a meeting with two pilot prosecution offices, the General Prosecutor's Office of the Safi Court of Appeal and the Prosecutor's Office of the Khémisset Court of First Instance. This meeting follows a report containing specific recommendations in this area, which was presented to these prosecution services during the summer.
The objective of this meeting will be to define the modalities of implementation of these recommendations. These recommendations concern above all the rapid development of dashboards for the management of flows and the monitoring of case load, but also the optimisation of the use of the Moroccan case management system "S@J2", and the use of videoconferencing by public prosecutors. Proposals for training of prosecutors will also be on the agenda of the meeting. Finally, the tools developed by the SATURN group of the CEPEJ on judicial time management will be presented and, according to the expectations of the prosecutors' offices, specific support will be proposed.
This activity will be organised in the frameworkof the Cooperation Programme between the CEPEJ and the Kingdom of Morocco " Improving the functioning of justice in Morocco based on the tools developed by the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) – phase II", conducted since November 2020 within the framework of the Neighborhood Partnership of the Council of Europe with Morocco 2018-2021.
