A workshop on “Digitalising Court–Lawyer Communication: The French e-Barreau Experience” was organised on 1 October 2026 in Pristina, bringing together representatives of justice institutions and legal professionals.
During the workshop, CEPEJ expert Philippe Baron, Chair of the Digital Commission of the French National Bar Council, presented the French experience with electronic communication between courts and lawyers through the e-Barreau platform. Participants also discussed current digitalisation efforts within Kosovo’s courts and the main obstacles to establishing effective electronic communication between courts and lawyers.
The exchange of experiences and good practices provided an opportunity to explore how similar digital solutions could be implemented in Kosovo, contributing to more efficient communication between courts and lawyers and supporting the further digitalisation of the justice system.
This activity was organised by the KoSEJ III action “Strengthening the Quality and Efficiency of Justice in Kosovo”, which is part of the joint programme entitled "Horizontal Facility of the Western Balkans and Turkey III", co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
