On 23 and 24 April, a CEPEJ delegation visited San Marino to initiate the first participation of this country to the CEPEJ's evaluation of European judicial systems exercise as part of the 2024 data collection.
This visit offered the opportunity to meet all persons who will be involved in the data collection, under the responsibility of Mrs Farida Taddeucci, member and national correspondent of the CEPEJ for San Marino, in order to present them the method and the tools developed by the CEPEJ with regard to the evaluation process, in particular the questionnaire and the explanatory note, as well as the calendar of the evaluation cycle (data collection and quality control). The authorities were also made aware of the use of the results of the evaluation activity at national level.
There was also a visit to the Court of San Marino to gain a better understanding of the organisation and the management of cases, as well as the role and functions of the various justice professionals at each stage of the judicial proceedings.
