A 3rd regional Workshop under the Western Balkans ICT Hub initiative, organised by the CEPEJ, was held on 22 – 23 May 2025 in Neum, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This initiative represents a regional platform which allows to reflect on the digital transformation of judicial systems in the Western Balkans by promoting the sharing of experiences and the harmonisation of practices at regional and European level.
The event gathered representatives of the judicial institutions from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, North Macedonia, and Serbia, as well as CEPEJ experts specialised in digitalisation, artificial intelligence, anonymisation and online publication of judicial decisions, and institutional partners active in this field.
The participants as well explored together the challenges and opportunities of introducing of digital and AI tools in judicial systems, good practices for improving of the case management systems (CMS) performance and sustainability, as well as matters of digital anonymisation and publishing of judicial decisions online.
This activity was organised by CEPEJ action “HFIII: HF 4 - Strengthening the Efficiency and Quality of Justice in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiHSEJ)”, which is part of the joint programme entitled "Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Türkiye III", co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
