Publication of a Practical guide on mainstreaming gender in public and private law reform processes, prepared by the Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies (MIGS), under the supervision of the CDCJ

The European Committee on Legal Co-operation (CDCJ) has developed a practical guide for Member States for taking into account the gender dimension in public and private law reform processes. The aim is to provide practical guidance on how to evaluate policies arising from legal initiatives - both in the field of public and private law - from the perspective of the principle of equality between women and men. Experiences and good practices from Member States are reflected in this practical guide and its abridged version.

The CDCJ also contributes with these works to the implementation of the Council of Europe Strategy for Equality between Women and Men 2018-2023, and more particularly its sixth priority objective to integrate issues of equality between men and women into all policies and measures.
