A team of one international and one national consultant is assisting the Ministry of Justice in the drafting of a communication strategy on free legal aid.

The main objective of the strategy is to increase the awareness on free legal aid as an important, available and functional mechanism ensuring equal access to legal aid, courts and ultimately justice. In the process of drafting, the consultants had fruitful discussions with representatives of the Ministry of Justice, civil society organisations, Centres for Social Work, Association of units of self-governments and other relevant actors.

The activity is being implemented within the action “Support to legal aid reforms”, which is part of the programme "Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey", co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
