Situated on the Suffolk coast, in Eastern England, Minsmere is one of the most important nature reserves in the United Kingdom. It has a diverse range of extensive habitat, including wetland, heathland, grassland, coastal shingle and dune and woodland. It has tremendous biodiversity, with over 5,800 species of plant and animal recorded. It has been managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds  since 1947, providing sanctuary for rare and threatened wildlife and a great opportunity for the visiting public to get closer to nature.
