The Council of Europe will be proudly hosting the Final Seminar of the BISON project on “Transport Infrastructure and Biodiversity at a nexus of challenges” on 6-7 June.

The Seminar is part of a week-long series of events in Strasbourg to explore the intersection of transport infrastructure and biodiversity, and where experts will discuss synergies and opportunities for sustainable networks.

The event is particularly timely given the recent Reykjavik Declaration of the Council of Europe’s 4th Summit and its strong advocacy towards greater environmental protection. In particular, the secretariat of the CoE’s Bern Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats, which is a partner of the organisers, will contribute to the keynote speeches of the second day from an international governance perspective.

The Programme of the event can be found here, and further information on the BISON initiative can be found here.
