Jean-Claude Mignon from France elected PACE President

Jean-Claude Mignon (EPP/CD) from France has just been elected President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). The new president presented his vision on number of issues, emphasizing that “the Europe of human rights should become an inescapable reality”. Jean-Claude Mignon sounded his intention to put Council of Europe back at the centre of the European and international stage, and also expressed his eagerness to find solutions to frozen conflicts in Europe.
