The Council of Europe in the framework of the European Union-Council of Europe Joint Project - “Combating ill-treatment and impunity in South Caucasus, Moldova and Ukraine” - is organizing a seminar for lawyers on the “Conformity of Investigation of Allegations of Ill-treatment to the European Standards”.

The seminar is implemented by the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association in cooperation with the Georgian Bar Association. 32 participants were selected through the open competition out of which 10 are from regions of Georgia.  The seminar will be conducted by two well-known human rights experts, Mr. Giorgi Tugushi, Ombudsman of Georgia and Mr. Beso Bokhashvili, Expert in Human Rights. The seminar will take place at the hotel “Sheraton Metekhi Palace” on 21-22 June, 2011.
