The Council of Europe together with the Council of Charter of the Journalistic Ethics is organising a series of meetings between the members of Charter and the representatives of the civil society in Tbilisi (04/07/2011, 1500, hotel Courtyard by Marriott), Kutaisi (05/07/2011, 1400, hotel Tirifebi) and Batumi (06/07/2011, 1500, hotel Intourist). The event aims to promote the idea and activities of the Charter of Journalistic Ethics and its Council, assess its achievements and future plans, and discuss the challenges.

The representatives of the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association and Civic Development Institute will also participate in the meeting.

The event is organised in the framework of the European Union and the Council of Europe Joint Programme on “Promoting Freedom, Professionalism and Pluralism of the Media in the South Caucasus and Moldova“.
