The Spring Conference of European Data Protection Authorities (DPAs) provides a forum of dialogue for exchanging information and good practices and also for adopting common positions through its Resolutions. Different issues concerning the current global context will be raised, including the new data protection regimes and the best ways for DPAs to fulfill their missions. Jan Kleijssen, Director of the Information Society and Action against Crime Directorate, will give a presentation relating to law enforcement authorities' access to data. Alessandra Pierucci, Chair of the Consultative Committee of Convention 108, will update the Conference on the modernisation of Convention 108. The Conference will also be informed of the current revision of the Handbook on European data protection law, jointly carried out by the Data Protection Unit, the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights and the European Data Protection Supervisor.
