On 22 March the Bureau of the Convention met in Strasbourg for its first meeting in 2016. The Bureau ensured the follow-up of the decisions taken at last Standing Committee meeting, and monitored the progress towards the implementation of the Programme of Activities. On the agenda, the assessment of the pending case-files and complaints submitted by citizens and NGOs, the monitoring of sites at risks in the Slovak Republic, Poland and Cyprus, and the preparation of the forthcoming meetings on Invasive Alien Species, Biodiversity and Climate change, and Illegal killing of birds.
