At its meeting in Lisbon on 12 November, the Executive Council of the North-South Centre approved the draft co-operation agreement between the Conference of INGOs and the North-South Centre.

The Conference of INGOs, which is a member of the Executive Council, has had good working relations with the North-South Centre for many years. The Conference’s Transversal Group on Europe and Global Challenges in particular follows closely the work of the North-South Centre. The co-operation agreement will reinforce this existing close co-operation.

The co-operation agreement was approved by the Conference of INGOs at its meeting on 27 January 2010 and signed on the same occasion by the President of the Conference of INGOs and the Executive Director of the North-South Centre.
