DON’T GIVE UP ON HUMAN RIGHTS! - Compass training course in Romania

This training course on human rights education with young people took place between 30 July and 2 August, in Timisoara. The course was organised by Timis County Youth Foundation (FITT) and the Youth Department of the Council of Europe in the Youth House of Timisoara, managed by FITT, a youth centre that was also awarded with the Council of Europe Quality Label for Youth Centres.

The course focused on developing the competences of the youth workers as human rights educators, based on Compass, the manual on human rights education with young people.

The residential programme was part of a larger endeavour on human rights education in Romania that was initiated in June 2020 and involved online learning for the 16 participants in the residential course and colleagues in their or partner youth organisations.

The training course ended with establishing the future plans as a community for practitioners in human rights education and follow-up activities around August 12 and within their own programmes.
