Belarus: Council of Europe continues its support to the future law on personal data protection

The support given by the Council of Europe to the Republic of Belarus for its future law on data protection continues. A study visit is being held at the Personal Data Protection Office of Poland (UODO) on 16 and 17 October.

This visit should enable a Belarus delegation to complete its awareness of practices and structures of data protection authorities, in particular in Central and Eastern countries and thus to finalise its draft law. The draft law was already examined once by the Parliament and will be amended notably following remarks by Council of Europe experts and in the light of gathered information.
