In the framework of the Congress’ “Support to Communities Hosting Refugees in Armenia” project, four Armenian municipalities (Byureghavan, Martuni, Tumanyan and Vedi) successfully completed grant-funded initiatives, improving local participation and access to social services for the refugee population.

Martuni community was enabled to establish a house of support for all refugees to facilitate their full integration by offering comprehensive services, including psychological support, job fairs, and access to children’s development centers. Tumanyan community focused on strengthening youth involvement, volunteerism, and awareness-raising activities linking social cohesion and community resilience with refugee support. Byureghavan community enhanced financial and energy efficiency literacy of refugees, strengthening their self-sufficiency and preparedness for future potential crises. Vedi community promoted socio-economic integration of women by creating new economic opportunities, providing access to free basic social services, and offering targeted skills development.
