On 16 August 2022, the newly appointed Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Andrii Kostin, met online with the Council of Europe's Director General of Human Rights and Rule of Law, Christos Giakoumopoulos. They discussed issues related to the human rights and rule of law consequences of the aggression from the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the assistance provided by the Council of Europe to the Office of the Prosecutor General and the reforms of the public prosecution service of Ukraine.
