Presentation of the results of the satisfaction surveys in 2 courts in Albania

On 13-14 June 2018, the CEPEJ expert, Mr Marko Aavik, met individually with the Presidents of the Shkoder Court of 1st Instance and the Tirana Appeal Administrative Court to present the CEPEJ report analysing the results of the satisfaction surveys carried out in each of these courts with the support of the Albanian Centre for Legal Training and Studies (ACLTS). The CEPEJ Recommendations made were thoroughly discussed and approved, and priority ones were identified for future implementation in the next phases of the SEJ II Action in court coaching projects. In addition, a workshop was organised for courts across Albania to promote the sustainable use of surveys as an efficient and cost-effective court management tool to improve the work of courts as an important public service. The regular use of satisfaction surveys was welcomed and supported by all beneficiaries and partners.

This activity took place under the SEJ II Action “Strengthening the efficiency and quality of the justice system in Albania”, which is part of the ’Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey’ programme; co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council.
