A Training of Trainers session will enhance the knowledge and skills for developing anti-bullying school policies of 41 teachers from 21 pilot schools in Albania. These teachers act as leaders of anti-bullying school teams and will further disseminate their knowledge to their peers. As a result, teachers and school administration staff from these 21 pilot schools will be able to better formulate anti-bullying school policies and Action Plans that will tackle controversial issues such as bullying and extremism in schools.

The Council of Europe National Survey on Bullying and Extremism in the Education System in Albania (2017) revealed that according to teachers there are no specific anti-bullying school policies in place in schools and as such bullying is not addressed properly by the teachers and school staff1.

This training session has thus been designed to address this gap and assist teachers in developing these policies. Anti-bullying school policies and Action Plans will be finalised by 21 pilot schools by the end of June 2018.

This event is being organised in the framework of the joint European Union/Council of Europe Horizontal Facility's Action “Fighting bullying and extremism in the education system in Albania”.
