On 10-11 April, the Council of Europe supported the meeting of the Albanian multidisciplinary teams in prison with the view to develop an individual sentence planning based on the assessment of prisoners’ risk and needs.

Furthermore, the Council of Europe supported the drafting of a training curricula and a manual on individual sentence planning in line with its standards and good European practices. Through case studies and role play scenarios on sentence planning, the working group members received knowledge and capacity to share their knowledge with peers.

The event took place in the frame of the joint European Union/Council of Europe Action “Enhancing the protection of human rights of prisoners in Albania”, under the ”Horizontal Facility for Western Balkans and Turkey”.
