The Council of Europe’s Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism (MONEYVAL) conducted a week-long training for assessors in the Principality of Monaco.
The training was organised with the support of the Monegasque authorities and aimed at building the capacity of a new generation of assessors to contribute to the on-going 6th round of the MONEYVAL mutual evaluation process.
From 16 to 20 March 2026, the training brought together 37 experts from 21 MONEYVAL and FATF jurisdictions.
The focus was on the 6th round of mutual evaluation procedures, the revised FATF Standards, and the assessment of countries in terms of technical compliance as well as effectiveness.
Successful completion of the assessors’ training course is required for all experts who wish to serve as evaluators in MONEYVAL and FATF assessments.
MONEYVAL remains committed to offering similar training courses in the future, relying on the commitment and continuous support of its member jurisdictions.
