MONEYVAL has officially launched its 6th round of mutual evaluation of Czechia. In this context, a high-level exchange was held, with the participation of the Chair of MONEYVAL, Mr Nicola MUCCIOLI, Chairman of the Interdepartmental Coordination Group for ML/TF and Deputy Minister of Finance Mr Tomáš Holub, and the Czech National Bank Board member Mr Jan Procházka. The intervenors stressed the importance of the assessment process and the commitment of the country’s authorities to its success.
The high-level exchange was followed by a training for the authorities and the private sector. It was aimed at familiarising all national stakeholders involved in the evaluation with the underlying standards and methodology of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and the evaluation approach of MONEYVAL. The training was organised in Prague and attended by more than 195 participants, including the representatives from the general prosecutor’s office, financial intelligence unit, law enforcement, judiciary, supervisors, tax and customs authority, registry of legal entities, representatives of self-regulatory bodies and the private sector.
