MONEYVAL has officially launched its 6th round of mutual evaluation of Armenia. In this context, a high-level exchange was held, with the participation of the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, the Chairman of the Interagency Committee on combating money laundering, terrorism financing and proliferation financing of Armenia (Interagency Committee) and the Chair of MONEYVAL, Mr Nicola MUCCIOLI. The intervenors stressed the importance of the assessment process and the commitment of the country’s authorities to its success. 
The high-level exchange was followed by a training for the authorities and the private sector. It was aimed at familiarising all national stakeholders involved in the evaluation with the underlying standards and methodology of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and the evaluation approach of MONEYVAL. The training was organised in Yerevan and attended by more than 50 representatives, including the representatives of the Interagency Committee, the financial intelligence unit, law enforcement, prosecutors, judiciary, supervisors, tax and customs authority and registry of legal entities.
