The Conference of INGOs (CINGO) will hold its Autumn Session in a hybrid format from 13 to 16 October 2025. It will open with meetings of the CINGO committees, the Task Force on civic space monitoring and followed by a special event devoted to “Climate justice and civil society,” organised by the Committee on Inclusive Territories, Environment and Health and the Standing Committee. The Conference invites all those interested to follow its public session on 14 October morning (Kudo link here). 

During the General Assemby, CINGO will:

• hold an exchange of views with the Chair of the Rapporteur Group on Democracy (GR-DEM) and the Vice-Chair of the Steering Committee on Democracy (CDDEM) on topical developments regarding civil society in Europe. CINGO will also hear about the priorities of Moldova’s upcoming presidency of the Committee of Ministers;
• devote a special item on civic space including a report from the President of the Expert Council on NGO Law, followed by exchanges with participants and Permanent Representations about recent developments of concern;
• organise a special (open) event on “Democracy and civil participation: the Council of Europe’s response,” in cooperation with Volonteurope (Zoom link here).

Among the highlights in the other part sessions (restricted to members), CINGO will inter alia discuss, with a view to approval, draft recommendations and statements on state accountability in housing for people on the move, refugees and asylum seekers; the need for a permanent platform for ongoing interreligious and interconvictional dialogue within the Council of Europe; access to sport as a recognised fundamental right; and peace and protection in Gaza. 

In parallel to the sessions, a series of side events will take place, including on youth empowerment and tackling risks related to gaming and gambling, as well as the annual Ceremony to mark the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
