On 10-11 October 2025, the European Youth Foundation carried out a monitoring visit to the international activity “Rebuild Ukraine Lab”, part of the Rebuild Ukraine Ambassadors Programme, organised by the European Youth Parliament in Brașov, Romania.
The four-day policy workshop, held from 9 to 12 October 2025 at the “Maria Baiulescu” Technical High School, brought together 30 young participants from nine Council of Europe member states. Its main objective was to establish a networking platform - the Rebuild Ukraine Ambassadors - where youth from Ukraine and across Europe could propose innovative solutions for Ukraine’s reconstruction. The Lab focused on key areas such as barrier-free urban planning, energy resilience, economic recovery, building trust in institutions or creating positive narratives to fight disinformation, among others.
Throughout the activity, Ukrainian youth and their European peers worked closely with experts to develop forward-looking proposals that will be consolidated into a Vision Paper at the end of the project. A Study Visit to Ukraine complemented the Lab, enabling 18 participants to engage directly with local stakeholders, observe reconstruction efforts, and learn from youth-led initiatives on the ground.
The resulting policy document will be shared with key European stakeholders and will serve as a foundation for future advocacy actions supporting Ukraine’s rebuilding process, ensuring that the voices and visions of young people are an important contribution to rebuilding Ukraine.
The “Rebuild Ukraine Lab” project is supported by the EYF through a grant for an international activity under Special Call Ukraine, supporting young people from Ukraine affected by the war.
