ICANN60 is taking place in Abu Dhabi from 28 October to 3 November 2017. Several sessions are dedicated during this public meeting to privacy related discussions and the Data Protection Unit of the Council of Europe thus remains engaged with the organisation and its communities to facilitate the setting of priorities by ICANN and its communities and the development of strategies aimed at enhancing compliance with internationally recognised privacy standards.
A cross community session on the European Union GDPR and its implications for ICANN is scheduled on 2 November 2017 at 10:30 - 12:00 (local time).
