The Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDP) of Albania hosts the 28th edition of this annual event which gathers the European data protection authorities.
During the two days conference, participants will address and discuss important issues such as the role and co-operation of DPAs in the oversight of surveillance agencies, the territorial scope of the GDPR, the protection of personal data in the context of police and judicial institutions, the influence of European standards and data protection in humanitarian action. A specific session will be dedicated to the burning question of social media, micro-targeting and political campaigning.
The on-going work of the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice regarding the use of artificial intelligence in justice will also be presented to the Conference.
Finally, participants will also be informed of the latest developments regarding the modernisation of Convention 108.
