On Wednesday 12 December 2018, in the presence of the Deputy Secretary General, Ambassador Manuel Montobbio, Permanent Representative of Spain to the Council of Europe signed the Convention on the Value of Cultural Heritage for Society (the “Faro Convention”, CETS No.199).

This signature coincides with the Regional Seminar of the European Commission / Council of Europe joint project “The Faro Way”, taking place in Madrid on 13-14 December 2018. The seminar aims to enhance processes leading to the signing of the Convention, so as to widen the group of member States joining the Faro Convention.
