At their 1356^th meeting, on the eve of the World Day Against the Death Penalty, the Ministers’ Deputies held their six-monthly review of the situation with regard to the abolition of the death penalty and took several decisions concerning Council of Europe member and observer States, as well as Belarus.

The Deputies also held exchanges of views with:

• Ms Liliane Maury Pasquier, President of the Parliamentary Assembly, on the outcome of the 4^th part of the 2019 Session (Strasbourg, 30 September - 4 October 2019) and the forthcoming activities of the Assembly; and
• Mr Ramin Gurbanov, President of the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ), following his presentation of CEPEJ’s 2018 Activity Report.
