Back Meeting of the Ministers’ Deputies on 30 April 2024

At their 1497th meeting on 30 April 2024, the Ministers’ Deputies continued their preparation of the 133rd Session of the Committee of Ministers, which will take place in Strasbourg on 16-17 May 2024.

Recalling that, in the Reykjavík Declaration, the member States of the Council of Europe welcomed international efforts to hold to account the political and military leadership of the Russian Federation for its war of aggression against Ukraine, as well as the state of progress towards the possible creation of a Special Tribunal on the crime of aggression against Ukraine, the Deputies authorised the Secretary General to prepare any necessary documents to contribute to consultations within the Core Group and requested that she report regularly to the Deputies on the progress of work and of these consultations.

The Deputies took note of a progress review report on the implementation of the Action Plan for Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2022-2025. They welcomed the progress made on the implementation of the Action Plan and encouraged the achievement of all the objectives contained in it.

In addition, the Deputies held an exchange of views with Ms Helga Gayer, President of the Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA), and took note of GRETA's 13th general activity report [more information ...].
