On the occasion of the ELD, the Slovak Bar Association will launch a HELP course on Ethics for lawyers, judges and prosecutors;

A panel discussion will take place on 26 October on the topic of the ELD “No justice without independent lawyers“, as well as broader topic of “Ethics as a prerequisite for fair trial“;

The former President of the Bar, Anton Blaha, was invited as a guest to a radio programme to talk about the importance of independence. Anton Blaha contributed on the draft of the Act on the Legal Profession after the Velvet Revolution, that finally reintroduced full independence to lawyers in Slovakia in 1990.

On the occasion of the European Day of Justice 2021, the Chancellery of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic organised an essay competition on the topic: "Justice - myth or reality?" and a  drawing competition on the topic: "The power of justice" in order to increase public awareness of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic.

The competitions have been organized with the support of the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice. More information and results can be found here.
