From 8 to 10 February 2021, during an online workshop organised by the CEPEJ, 30 representatives from the Ministry of Justice, Judicial Legal Council, Justice Academy, Supreme Court and pilot courts of the previous phase of the project discussed the activities and the set of organisational measures with the purpose of ensuring the implementation of relevant CEPEJ tools in all courts of Azerbaijan, based on the experience and good practices introduced in the pilot courts.
The workshop also focused on steps to facilitate nationwide system of collecting, reporting and analysing of judicial data, effective judicial time management and users’ satisfaction surveys.
The Road map and the Action plan aim at improving management methods and tools by Azerbaijani courts, thus strengthening the independence and efficiency of justice, as well as increasing public trust in the justice systemof the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The activity was organised in the framework of the CEPEJ cooperation project "Strengthening the efficiency and quality of the judicial system in Azerbaijan" under the Partnership for Good Governance II (PGG II), which is funded jointly by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
