An innovative online system to carry out court user satisfaction surveys based on CEPEJ methodology, was launched on 22 April 2022, at Tirana District Court.

Naureda Llagami, Chair of the High Judicial Council stressed the importance of such instrument administered by the High Judicial Council, the first in the region, which allows to measure the quality of various court services.

Flamur Kapllani,  Deputy Chair of the Tirana District Court focused on the importance of this assessment tool " to identify those shortcomings that the court does not see, and to be able to address these shortcomings by improving our services and the public to perceive that justice is really being done”.

Jutta Gützkow, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Tirana and Hubert Perr, Head of Co-operation at European Union Delegation in Albania recalled the role of the feedback from court users in further improving the justice service, increasing transparency and accountability and improve the image of the justice sector in Albania.

The online platform will be piloted in the district courts of Tirana and Vlora and is to be further rolled out in the remaining courts after the finalisation of the new judicial map.

This activity is developed in the framework of the joint EU/CoE Action “Strengthening the Efficiency and Quality of Justice in Albania”, which is part of the joint programme entitled "Horizontal Facility of the Western Balkans and Turkey II", co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.”
