The CEPEJ pursues its work with Moroccan public Prosecutors' Offices

The CEPEJ is organising on 22 September 2021 an online meeting bringing together the new prosecutors of the pilot public prosecutor's offices of the Court of Appeal of Safi and the Court of First Instance of Khémisset, representatives of the Presidency of the Moroccan Public Prosecutor's Office and the CEPEJ experts.

During this meeting, the experts will present to the new prosecutors the work carried out so far and the recommendations developed during the first half of the year. These recommendations aim at improving the efficiency of the work of the prosecution service and in particular the management of judicial time, by optimising their use of the case management system, their use of dashboards or videoconferencing.

The work of the CEPEJ experts with the pilot prosecution offices has also made it possible to highlight the existing good practices, in particular in the development by the pilot prosecution offices of local applications aimed at remedying the shortcomings of the case management system. The aim is to perpetuate these good practices and to encourage their wider development by presenting them to the other public prosecutor's offices in the Kingdom at the end of the year.

These meetings are organised in the framework of the project "Improving the functioning of justice in Morocco on the basis of tools developed by the CEPEJ - phase II", and of the Council of Europe Neighbourhood Partnership with Morocco 2018-2021.
