A Workshop on designing a training curriculum and modules on mediation took place from 18 to 20 August in Antalya. The general aim of the workshop was to create the modules of the basic Mediation Training Programme in Turkey. Representatives from the Ministry of Justice, academicians, and trainers from different universities, together with the Project Team of the Council of Europe, all participated in the workshop. CoE/CEPEJ experts participated to the first day of the workshop through a video conference. The results of the needs analysis report prepared by the national curriculum development expert, Prof. Dr. Cennet Engin Demir, were presented in the Workshop. A draft curriculum, which was previously prepared with the co-operation of the curriculum expert and the CEPEJ experts, had been reviewed and improved in the Workshop by the participants. During the second and third day of the Workshop, national experts discussed the content of the curriculum and worked on modules, training materials and tools for the mediation training. A follow-up Workshop will be organised in September.
