Back Trainings for CEPEJ pilot courts in Tunisia

Trainings for CEPEJ pilot courts in Tunisia

The European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) organised a series of capacity-building workshops in Tunis and in Gabes from 28 to 31 March 2017 for judges and clerks of pilot courts of Kairouan, Nabeul, Tunis, Zaghouan, Gabes and Sidi Bouzid. Representatives from the Ministry of Justice and the Higher Institute of the Judiciary also attended the workshops.
In the first part of the training session, participants explored the potential of judicial scoreboards - true management tools for courts - with a focus on the collection of statistical data, their analysis, and their use for the courts’ activities assessment and management. The second part of the session dealt with the possibilities to improve the capacity of clerks through on-site trainings based on colleagues’ shared knowledge and experience, which comes from the model of trainings developed by the courts in the Canton of Geneva, in Switzerland.
