The European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) has been invited to participate in an Exchange Workshop - organized by the Ministry of Justice of Tunisia, the UNDP and OHCHR - on pilot projects in support of judiciary and penitentiary institutions. The objective of the workshop was to present various pilot projects currently implemented in Tunisia, with a view to defining the ones that could be implemented in Medenine Governorate, under a new programme funded by the UNDP and OHCHR.

On this occasion, the following three CEPEJ “flagship pilot projects” were discussed: the judicial scoreboard and their use as management tools; preparation of civil cases and management of civil hearings; and alternatives to prosecution. The project on judicial scoreboards raised considerable interest from the workshop’s participants.
